Responsibilities

Data Fellows are essential to understanding of how individual opinions feed into community perspectives. Data Fellows will analyze data (mainly qualitative) to evolve our understanding of local trends and priorities. Fellows are required to work closely with Design Fellows to ensure data is being interpreted in appropriate ways. Lastly, selected students will develop and manage a database framework that is explainable and transparent.

Preferred Skills 

  • Data science or database management experience

    • Previous experience dealing with community engagement data is a plus​

  • NLP

  • Strong verbal/written interpersonal communication skills 

  • Community/cultural awareness

  • Coordinating within and across teams

  • Academic research

Time Commitment

Data Fellows are expected to devote 3-5 hrs/week
